Thank you for choosing I AM Strands & Beauty Hair and Beauty Thrift Store. Our Free Mobile Donation Pick-Up Program makes it easy for Los Angeles County residents, salons, barbershops, beauty schools, beauty brands, and businesses to donate eligible hair and beauty products while supporting our mission of making beauty affordable, reducing waste, creating jobs, and funding community programs.

Free donation pick-up is currently available for eligible donations within Los Angeles County, California.

Pick-up services outside Los Angeles County may be available for a fee or through our Mail-In 

Donation Program.

Appointments can be scheduled online at www.iamsbeauty.com or by contacting our customer service team.

When scheduling, please provide:

• Your name
• Pick-up address
• Phone number
• Email address
• Preferred pick-up date and time
• A brief description of the items being donated

Appointment requests are subject to availability and are not guaranteed until confirmed by our team.

We accept donations such as:

• Human hair wigs
• Synthetic wigs
• Hair extensions
• Hair toppers and hairpieces
• Hair accessories
• New or gently used salon tools
• Hair dryers, flat irons, curling irons, and other styling tools
• Brushes, combs, and professional barber or salon equipment
• New or gently used hair care products
• Unopened cosmetics and personal care products
• Beauty school supplies and mannequins
• Other approved hair and beauty-related items

All donations are subject to inspection upon pick-up.

To help ensure a safe and efficient collection process:

• Items should be clean and in good condition whenever possible.
• Products should be securely packed in boxes or bags.
• Liquids should be tightly sealed to prevent leaks.
• Electrical items should be reasonably clean and complete.
• Donations should be accessible at the scheduled pick-up location.

We reserve the right to refuse any donation that is unsafe, damaged beyond use, contaminated, or does not meet our donation guidelines.

Please ensure:

• Someone 18 years of age or older is available if required.
• Donations are ready before the scheduled appointment.
• Any pets are safely secured during the pick-up.
• Clear access is available to the donation area.

If no one is available or the donation is not ready, the appointment may need to be rescheduled.

If you need to cancel or reschedule your appointment, please notify us at least 24 hours in advance whenever possible.

Repeated missed appointments may result in future scheduling limitations.

For the safety of our staff:

• Our drivers are not required to enter homes.
• Pick-ups are generally limited to items that can be safely handled by one or two team members.
• We may decline items that present health or safety risks.

By donating items, you certify that:

• You are the legal owner of the donated property or have authorization to donate it.
• The items are free from liens or ownership disputes.

Once accepted, all donations become the property of I AM Strands & Beauty Hair and Beauty Thrift Store and may be:

• Sold in our thrift store
• Refurbished or sanitized
• Distributed through community programs
• Used for educational purposes
• Recycled
• Responsibly disposed of if unsuitable for resale or reuse

I AM Strands & Beauty will gladly provide a donation receipt upon request.

Donors are responsible for determining the value of donated items and should consult a tax professional regarding any potential tax deductions.

We reserve the right to:

• Modify service areas
• Change appointment availability
• Cancel or reschedule appointments due to weather, emergencies, vehicle issues, or other unforeseen circumstances
• Update this policy at any time without prior notice
